TLM provided the technical assistance required during submittal of the multiple grant applications utilized to fund the projects, construction oversight and administration of the project through the grant processes. rnrnThe project provides completion of a Downtown Enhancement extending 8 blocks in the core downtown area of Parsons and the south entrance into town. The Phase 1 and 2 Parsons Downtown Enhancement projects are part of a muti-phased project directed by a City Beatification Committee to enhance the downtown business area of Parsons. The improvements include a revitalized theme of pedestrian lighting, sidewalks, street trees, and plantings throughout the project. The sidewalks provide an ADA compliant connection between downtown and adjoining commercial businesses, churches, Parsons Municipal Building, and residential areas south of town. rnrnThe project includes improved lighting installed throughout, presenting a welcoming entrance into the downtown area while encouraging pedestrian traffic both by creating an aesthetically pleasing environment and improved safety.rnrnStreet trees were installed within newly sodded grass strips. And in cast iron tree grates to create a separation between the pedestrian and vehicular traffic and a safer environment for pedestrians on the sidewalk.rn
